Mark Duman joined the Senior Moments team on Salford City Radio this morning to talk about how we can get patients more involved in healthcare. If 50% of people aren’t taking their medicines as prescribed, what can we do to help them improve this? What work can be done with people to get them to comprehend the value of taking medicines? How can health information be made easier to understand? How can we make it possible for patients to have honest conversations about their medicines with health professionals? What can be done to support continuity throughout health care? And how can we encourage the system to look at the patient as a whole person and not as a body part?
