Monmouth enables patients to provide crucial input into Dalton Review

Sir David Dalton, Chief Executive of Salford Royal Foundation Trust, has published his eagerly anticipated review.  The independent review, commissioned by the Secretary of State for Health, looks at new options and opportunities to help leaders and organisations in the NHS to do more for patients.

As Sir David so rightly says in his letter to the Secretary of State, “There must be no doubt that patient benefit is and will be the key judgement in progressing new organisational forms.”  The Department of Health therefore asked Monmouth Partners to convene two patient workshops, with supporting work developing the narrative and outputs, to provide patient input into the Dalton review.

The workshops, and resulting Monmouth report, incorporates the patient voice into the Review and can be heard in Sir David’s statement that “Safeguarding reliable, high quality care to patients is more important than preserving organisations.”
