Penetration Testing

Understanding whether your IT environment is considered “secure” or if there are inherent vulnerabilities is key to managing your cyber-related risk.  With the rapid evolution of technology and services comes the risk of introducing new vulnerabilities for exploitation by cyber criminals.

We use qualified (CREST/CHECK) security professionals to regularly assess your IT environment’s security risk and help you understand the potential impact of any vulnerabilities.

Our penetration testing service typically reviews your business from four perspectives:

Initial Vulnerability Assessment
This is effectively the entry level penetration test and provides an insight into any risks and vulnerabilities found within your IT environment. The assessment can then be used to prioritise and implement mitigations in line with the organisation's risk management process.
Internal Penetration Test
This type of assessment looks for security issues and vulnerabilities on the inside of your corporate network and provides a comprehensive view of the configuration of your corporate network devices and servers from a security viewpoint of an insider, connected to your network.
External Penetration Test
This type of assessment is concerned with assessing the external, Internet-facing infrastructure of your corporate network. This could be your Firewall, VPN endpoints, Web Servers and Mail Servers, etc.
Web Application Penetration Test
This type of assessment follows a defence in depth approach, identifying the available public facing attack surface, authentication control weaknesses, segmentation issues, and any configuration vulnerabilities that could allow a user to escalate privileges.
